🛷Sledging on the Wiriehorn
The 5-kilometre-long sledge run on the Wiriehorn is one of the most popular winter activities in the Diemtigtal. From the Nüegg mountain station, the well-groomed run takes you back down into the valley – with plenty of bends, stunning views and enough space for young and old alike.
Night-time tobogganing is particularly popular: With floodlights or headlamps, the ride becomes a truly special experience.

🥾Winter hiking in the Diemtigtal Nature Park
If you prefer to enjoy winter at a leisurely pace, the Diemtigtal offers around 30 kilometres of groomed winter walking trails. The trails lead through snow-covered forests, across open spaces and to vantage points offering views of the mountains of the Diemtigtal Nature Park.
One particularly beautiful winter walking trail is the Grimmialp–Senggiweid route – perfect for a relaxing day out.

⛄Snowshoeing in the Diemtigtal Nature Park
With snowshoes, you can explore the winter landscape in a particularly immersive way. Well-marked trails lead through quiet forests and across snow-covered fields. Many routes are also suitable for beginners. You set your own pace and experience the tranquil side of winter, far away from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes.

⛷️Skifahren & Snowboarden in family-friendly ski areas
The Wiriehorn, Grimmialp and Springenboden ski areas offer a total of around 27 kilometres of slopes. The atmosphere here is relaxed and family-friendly – ideal for children, beginners and anyone who simply wants to enjoy a leisurely day’s skiing.
In the kids’ areas, the little ones can learn to ski through play, whilst you enjoy the winter on the sun terrace or on the wide slopes.

🎿Cross-country skiing
For cross-country skiing enthusiasts, there are around 22 kilometres of groomed trails. The trails wind through snow-covered valleys and past streams and the winter landscapes of the nature park.
